A Reddit User Asked if the GOP Could Move On From Populism "After Trump"
There is BC and AD but no AT for the GOP
Trump, to most, like this reddit user, is not well understood or studied because of cancel culture. To say he didn't follow the political etiquette of the establishment, well what the hell was that, or is that? The major reason Trump catapulted in, was his use of plain language people could judge. "Rosie O'Donnell is fat," vs. the parse of establishment Washington, where nothing means anything.
Biden/Harris speeches are gibberish. This follows the extrapolation from critical theory and ops like BLM designed for destruction and not anything else. So, the violence on the left is not recognized or prosecuted. But speech from the right is violence and prosecuted.
A male who declares himself a female, like Michael from The Office declaring bankruptcy, can then be considered pregnant or captain of the women's swim team. A male who will not recognize that man as a woman is perpetrating violence with a accurate pronoun, science and a logical opinion.
Trump’s common sense is a part of American and global culture. The radical left helped popularize Trump more than his mega-hit broadcast TV show. My answer is no, the GOP cannot move on from logic, clarity and a bona fide movement but it could learn from Trump.
Trump is a legacy brand that moved into digital as well as any brand in the world. His Twitter account basically elected him, President. That's stunning. He expanded his real estate development business into a licensing business. He founded a new platform out of the ashes of his one twitter account, which quite frankly is going to get my clients’ budgets instead of FaceBook, because I can’t trust Meta.
More impressive is the fact Trump watched the conservative movement leverage Twitter as they helped build it, as Politique Republic reminds us. Few remember this over today's Leftist blockade of Twitter.
Trump went to the platform, dominated it, and brought it back from near-death. He then capitalized on the conservative cancelling and Twitter criminally leaving billions on the table, using it to launch his own platform. Now when the left attacks him, which is why he was chuckling at Merrick Garland's belabored flex, account registration at Truth Social soared 550% vs. the week before.
The only thing that could make Trump happier than beating his opponents, is making money while doing it. The “socialist” left has been doing this with billionaire and government funded nonprofits for some time, greenwashing et al. They had a data sharing privacy policy at NGP VAN 12 years ago and it grew rev to $26+ mil and sold to private equity firm Apax. David Plough helped steal 2020 with Z$400 mil in non-taxed Zuckerbucks.
But almost every new -or finally copied- technology platform for Republicans has come from people who helped lead the Trump Admin. Brad Parscale noted this on The Business of Politics with Eric Wilson. And much of that tech was made to gather consumers canceled from Twitter and FaceBook, but also businesses relying on AWS / Amazon, certain financial institutions and other B2B tech service providers.
The populist movement and Republicans now have non-cancelable B2B and B2C infrastructure. Maybe the question is, has Trump or the populist movement moved on from the GOP? And what does that leave? A couple of old fax machines and an email list.
